How to collect feedback on web page designs with Userback

Userback is a powerful website design feedback tool that lets you collect visual feedback on any web page.

You simply add the feedback widget to your site - and voila! Visual. Feedback. Fast.

Of course, that’s just one of the many ways that you can use Userback to get visual website feedback.

Particularly for web agencies and designers, Userback is also a great feedback tool to use when you need feedback from clients and teammates on your web page designs and mockups.

Since the recent release of our Designs feature, we’ve been really excited with how many customers have been uploading images of web page designs to Userback and sharing them with clients and teammates for feedback.

In fact, this new feature has been so popular that we wanted to make it even easier to upload web page designs to Userback. So we’re pleased to announce that you can now also upload web page designs to Userback just by entering the URL.

Check out this demo to see how it's done.

How to collect design feedback in Userback

1. Enter the page URL

To upload a web page design for feedback, select "Designs" from the top menu and enter the URL of the web page you want feedback on.

Please note that because the Designs feature creates a static image of your web page, it is not suitable for use with animated pages. To get feedback on pages with animations, we recommend using our widget code or browser extensions.

2. Share your web page to get feedback

Once your web page is uploaded, the next step is to share it so that others can give you their feedback.

Hover your mouse over the uploaded web page and click "Get feedback" to see your share options.

To share your web page, you can either copy the private link and manually share it with others. Or you can enter an email address and we'll send them all the details.

3. How to submit feedback

After sharing your web page for feedback, people simply click the " Add Feedback" button and use the annotation tool to submit their feedback.

A great thing with the Design feature is that people can give feedback anywhere on the page just by scrolling up and down.

Plus it’s really easy to give feedback on different versions of the page just by changing the device type.

4. Viewing feedback

When new feedback is submitted, you will be notified as per your project’s notification settings.

For most customers, you will receive an email, but you may also receive Slack or Microsoft Teams notifications if you have them activated in your project settings.

To view the feedback, simply head over to "Projects", select your chosen project and click the "Feedback" menu

From here you can manage feedback on your web pages in the same way as all the other feedback that you collect.

The Designs feature is available to customers on our Agency and Corporate plans. We hope you find it to be a useful way to get feedback from clients and teammates on your web page designs. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
